Our client, a leading developer in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee significant projects from inception to completion. This role is based in **Thika, Kiambu, KE** and requires extensive experience in managing large-scale energy projects, preferably in solar, wind, or other renewable technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This is a demanding but rewarding position that offers the chance to make a substantial impact on the transition to clean energy.
Responsibilities: Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies and permitting to construction and commissioning. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies. Oversee EPC contractors, suppliers, and other third-party service providers to ensure project milestones are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Manage project finances, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including internal teams, regulatory bodies, and community representatives. Identify and resolve project-related issues and conflicts proactively. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key project partners.
