1,000 Internship Opportunities – Digital Literacy Programme

About this opportunity

The Public Service Commission of Kenya is inviting applications for 1,000 internship positions under Cohort 5 of the Digital Literacy Programme. The programme is administered by the Ministry of Education’s State Department for Basic Education.

Successful applicants will be deployed to schools and Sub-County Education Offices. They will gain practical workplace experience while helping schools implement digital learning, virtual-learning systems and other technology-supported education services.

Duties and responsibilities

Selected interns will:

Support e-learning and digital-content development according to the relevant schemes of work.
Assist in classrooms and train primary-school teachers to use digital-learning devices.
Support the implementation of the Digital Learning Programme.
Develop practical innovations that improve the use of digital technology in schools.
Promote the safe, secure and ethical use of technology in learning.
Help teachers incorporate ICT into teaching, learning and assessment.
Assist school staff in developing essential policies and procedures.
Provide first-line technical support and basic maintenance for school ICT services.
