Job

Business Developer (Data Protection Services)

About this opportunity

Relief Applications (reliefapplications.org) is a European organisation that bridges the gap between technology and humanitarian efforts. We build tools and solutions that strengthen the efficiency and impact of nonprofit and humanitarian organisations worldwide.

Through our DP4G, Data Protection 4 Good ([https://reliefapplications.org/dp4g](https://reliefapplications.org/dp4g)) initiative, we help NGOs, associations and humanitarian organisations protect the personal data of the people they serve, with outsourced Data Protection Officer (DPO) services, audits and training tailored to the realities of the nonprofit sector.

You’ll be selling exactly that: a recurring, outsourced DPO and GDPR-compliance service, built for mission-driven organisations. We’re now looking for a driven commercial profile to grow it across the French nonprofit market.

As Business Developer for our DP4G data protection services, you will lead the commercial development of our outsourced DPO offer on the French market, with a priority focus on NGOs, associations and humanitarian / development organisations, the sector where we hold a strong competitive advantage.

Working closely with the founding team and backed by our data protection experts, you will build and qualify a pipeline, pitch the offer to decision-makers, and close recurring DPO service contracts. It’s an autonomous, part-time role for someone who is comfortable owning the full sales cycle.

**Requirements**

**Experience**

- Proven B2B sales / business development experience, ideally selling SaaS or subscription-based services.
- Track record of autonomously building a pipeline and closing deals.
- Affinity for, or experience with, the nonprofit, association or humanitarian sector is a strong asset.

**Skills**

- Autonomous and self-driven, able to own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Confident, persuasive pitching and presentation skills.
- Comfortable representing a specialist data protection (DPO) offer to expert buyers, and quick to learn the domain *(you don’t need to be a DPO yourself, our experts back you up).*
- Proficiency with CRM tools and structured pipeline management.

**Language**

- Native or fluent French is required (French market focus).
- Professional English is an asset (international team)

**Soft skills**

- Results-oriented and resilient, comfortable working towards commission-based targets.
- Strong listening and relationship-building skills.
- Reliable and organised, able to work independently in a part-time setup.

**it will be nice if you have**

- Knowledge of GDPR / data protection principles is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of the French nonprofit or humanitarian sector is a plus.

**Potential Tasks:**

**Prospecting & pipeline development**

- Identify, research and qualify prospects among French NGOs, associations, foundations and humanitarian / development organisations.
- Build a structured sales pipeline, prioritising the humanitarian and nonprofit sector where DP4G has a clear competitive edge.
- Activate your own network and leverage Relief Applications’ existing contacts to generate qualified leads.

**Sales & closing**

- Present and pitch the DP4G outsourced DPO offer to decision-makers, conveying its value with credibility and confidence.
- Handle objections, negotiate and close recurring (subscription-based) DPO service contracts.
- Coordinate with Relief Applications’ data protection experts to bring technical credibility into client conversations.

**CRM & reporting**

- Manage and maintain the CRM, tracking all prospecting activity and pipeline status.
- Report regularly on activity, conversion and results to the founding team.

**Market intelligence & offer refinement**

- Gather and share field feedback on positioning, pricing and competition.
- Contribute to refining the DP4G commercial offer and go-to-market approach.
