About this opportunity
## Job description
A consulting team is being formed for a planned end-of-project evaluation of a labour-intensive maintenance and Cash-for-Work project in Jordan. The evaluation will assess the project’s contribution to improving livelihoods, supporting vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugees, and improving the learning environment in public schools.
The assignment will produce a final evaluation report, presentations, and a visual executive summary or impact factsheet. The visual products should present key findings in a clear, accessible, and professional way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
The Graphic Designer / Infographic Specialist will be responsible for transforming evaluation findings, statistics, and messages into high-quality visual products. This includes designing a standalone visual impact factsheet, improving the layout of report visuals, designing infographics, and supporting the final presentation materials.
The position requires someone who can understand technical content and make it simple without losing accuracy. The designer should be able to work closely with evaluators and data analysts, revise designs based on feedback, and prepare clean final files in Arabic and English where required.
The assignment is expected to take place during the period July to September 2026. The level of effort will be confirmed based on the final evaluation workplan.
## Tasks
The Graphic Designer / Infographic Specialist will be expected to:
- Review the evaluation findings, key messages, tables, and charts shared by the evaluation team.
- Design a professional visual executive summary or standalone impact factsheet.
- Convert key findings into clear and attractive infographics.
- Design charts, icons, diagrams, visual boxes, timelines, maps, or other visual elements as needed.
- Support the layout and visual presentation of the final evaluation report.
- Support the design of the preliminary findings presentation and final results presentation.
- Ensure that all visuals are accurate and consistent with the data provided by the evaluation team.
- Work closely with the Data Analyst to verify figures, percentages, labels, and chart titles.
- Prepare Arabic and English versions of visual products where needed.
- Ensure consistency in fonts, colors, spacing, icons, headings, and overall layout.
- Design materials that are suitable for donor, government, and stakeholder audiences.
- Make technical findings easier to understand without oversimplifying the evidence.
- Revise design products based on feedback from the evaluation team.
- Prepare final files in editable and ready-to-share formats, such as PowerPoint, Word, PDF, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or other agreed formats.
- Ensure final products are clean, professional, and suitable for both digital sharing and printing.
- Carry out any other design and formatting tasks requested by the evaluation team.
## Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- Degree, diploma, training certificate, or proven professional experience in graphic design, visual communication, media design, data visualization, or another relevant field.
- Strong portfolio showing previous work in infographics, factsheets, reports, presentations, dashboards, or visual summaries.
- Proven experience designing professional products for development, humanitarian, research, evaluation, donor-funded, or public-sector projects.
- Strong skills in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Ability to transform data and technical findings into clear, simple, and attractive visuals.
- Experience designing visual products based on survey findings, evaluation reports, or research results is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing bilingual Arabic-English materials is an asset.
- Good understanding of layout, readability, visual hierarchy, and accessibility.
- Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers, labels, titles, and source notes.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and respond quickly to feedback.
- Ability to coordinate with technical team members and revise products based on comments.
- Fluency in Arabic is required.
