Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Intern based in Kisumu, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The intern will support lead generation activities, conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, and establish partnerships with potential clients or organizations.
Responsibilities also include customer engagement, providing support to clients, and assisting in creating proposals and pitches. Additionally, the intern will analyze data to inform strategic decision-making and contribute to business growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

• Effective Communication skills, including written and verbal communication, for engaging stakeholders and presenting ideas clearly.

• Experience or interest in Lead Generation and the ability to identify and engage potential clients.

• Proficiency in Market Research techniques, including gathering and analyzing market trends and competition.

• Customer Service skills to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment.

• Experience with WASH sector or sustainability initiatives is a plus.

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
