Keda Ceramics International Limited is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented Weight Inspector to join our Quality Control Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy in material batching, maintaining proper records, and supporting overall product quality.
Nature of Job: Full-time
Location: Miwani, Kisumu
Key Responsibilities
Supervise forklift operations during batching to ensure materials are loaded strictly according to the approved formula sheet.
Accurately measure and record the weight of each individual material used in the batching process.
Monitor and ensure any excess materials added are promptly removed by the forklift operator.
Ensure all surplus materials from each load are returned to the correct storage bins based on material type and designated warehouse location.
Maintain accurate records of batching/feeding weights for each production batch.
Inspect and record slurry performance in the transfer tank and ground pit to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Complete all assigned tasks within the shift and ensure all records are properly documented before the end of the shift.
Report any discrepancies, abnormalities, or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly. Adhere to company safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.
Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Key Competencies & Skills
Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
Strong numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good analytical and basic statistical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to follow instructions and comply with operational procedures.
Good judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to rotational s
