**Job Summary**

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with a new and vibrant team? The INSO Grants team is forming, and we are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Grants Officers to join us at our headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.

As a Grants Officer, you will be the focal point for 6-8 of our INSO country offices, playing a pivotal role in supporting them with grants management, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and fostering capacity building. This is a brand-new position where your contributions will make a significant impact from day one! As a member of the Grants team at INSO headquarters, the position will work closely with the Regional Directors, Finance Controllers, MEAL Manager, and INSO country offices. Your role will involve coordinating and centralising service and project outputs, monitoring and evaluation, and facilitating seamless communications from our country offices. To keep our grant management process running smoothly, you will assist with grant reviews, organise opening and closing meetings, and maintain meticulous records and learning processes.

**Major Responsibilities**

*Grant Management*

- Supervises the portfolio for allocated countries and supports country offices in the development of donor proposals, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and donor requirements.
- Review and provide feedback on project revisions to ensure compliance with donor regulations and INSO standards.
- Oversee the timely and accurate submission of donor reports, coordinating with country offices to gather necessary information and data.
- Contribute to regular monthly grant management and BvA reviews with INSO country offices and coordination with the Regional Directors and Finance Controllers
- Coordinate with the Grants Manager, Regional Directors, and Finance Controller to support the supervision of the donor deadlines, funding pipeline, and donor reports.
- Ensure proper archiving of grant documents both at the HQ and country-office levels, and maintain the workflows in the grant management system
- Document, analyse, and share learning for proposal development, reporting, and grant modification processes and compliance with donor rules and regulations
- Delivering donor mapping exercises for country offices, supporting the consolidation of the fundraising strategy/assumptions for the annual plans
- Lead due diligence assessments and support country offices with audits and other donor requests
- Act as Champion of the Grant Management system in terms of maintaining accurate records, processing workflows and training country teams

*Capacity Development*

- Develop and deliver training and capacity-building initiatives for staff in country offices, enhancing their skills and knowledge in grant management and compliance.
- Mentor and support the INSO country office staff on quality donor engagement

**Requirements**

*Essential*

- 4+ years’ experience in grant management
- Comprehensive experience with institutional donors, including DG ECHO, FCDO, SDC, Sida, and other INSO donors
- Experience in proposal development and reporting for institutional donors
- Excellent command of MS Office applications
- Fluent in English with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Must have the right to live and work in the Netherlands
- Master's degree in political science, international relations, or a relevant social sciences discipline

*Desirable*

- Experience in capacity building (report writing, donor compliance, and proposal development
- Working experience in humanitarian organisations and countries currently covered by INSO, with particular focus on Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, and Mozambique.

**Terms & Conditions**

Fixed-term (renewable) full-time contract based in The Hague, Netherlands, EUR 4,800 per month, 8% vacation pay (vakantiegeld), 2.5 days annual leave per month. INSO will provide Basic Premium ONVZ health insurance. The right to live and work in the Netherlands is required for this position. Be aware that INSO’s employment terms do not include transport and pension benefits.
