**Consultancy Services for Graphic Design Support for ACAT Project, 2026–2027**

**1. About AATF**

The African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate sustainable access of agricultural technologies to smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa. AATF is driven by the vision of a prosperous and food secure Africa, where the livelihoods of smallholder farmers are transformed through innovative agricultural technologies that deliver results. These efforts, combined with optimal agricultural practices and product value addition, will contribute to agricultural transformation in Africa leading to food security and poverty reduction in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).

**2. About the African Conference on Agricultural Technologies (ACAT)**

The African Conference on Agricultural Technologies (ACAT) is Africa’s leading convening platform for structured dialogue and consensus building on agricultural technology innovation, investment, access and market creation. It convenes governments, investors, innovators, policymakers, farmers, youth, women and change makers to unlock partnerships, mobilize investment, accelerate commercialization, and shape policies that enable adoption at scale of transformative agricultural technologies across the continent.

The forum is held every two years with the inaugural event held in October 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya. The objectives of the forum is to: (a) provide a continent-wide platform for technology developers to showcase their products and innovations applicable in the agricultural sector to potential users and policy makers; (b) promote networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among all stakeholders in the Agricultural space (Private sector, Farmers, NGOs, Regulators and Policy Makers) on agricultural technologies and innovations; (c) raise visibility on issues of concern around innovative technology access and delivery among top leadership on the continent including policy makers for their information and to guide decision making.

In 2027, the forum will feature an exciting array of sessions including high level plenaries, engaging thematic panel sessions and segmented discussions on innovation and technology transfer.

The Conference is expected to attract live demonstrations of scalable technologies including awards to mark the continent’s best agricultural innovators. ACAT is an initiative of AATF.

**3. About the Assignment.**

AATF is looking for a creative and forward- thinking consultant to assist AATF to design the ACAT 2027 website. The selected consultant will demonstrate a great understanding of website design principles and demonstrate their ability to create modern and appealing websites that are easy to navigate while upholding the design standards as well as the ACAT branding guidelines.

**4. Scope of work**

In consultation with the ACAT team, the service provider will be responsible for creating mock design, of ACAT’s website platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational branding, usability standards, and performance objectives which will guide the developer(s) in building the website.

1. **Website Design & User Experience (UX/UI)**

- Conceptualize and design visually compelling, user-centric website interface(s) (Frontend) aligned with ACAT branding guidelines.
- Develop and present design concepts including:
- User flows
- Site maps
- Wireframes
- High-fidelity mockups (PSDs or equivalent)
- Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
- Incorporate accessibility and usability best practices.

**5. Deliverables:**

1. Approved wireframes and design mockups
2. Final UI design assets ready for development
3. Additional Design Support:

In addition to the primary web design scope, the Designer will provide supplementary design support for project-related materials. This will include the development of social media graphics, presentation decks, event branding assets, infographics, marketing collateral, and any other visual communication materials as may be required during the engagement period. All outputs will be aligned with the established project visual identity and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across both digital and print platforms. The Designer will also ensure that all deliverables are of high quality, suitable for both print and digital use where applicable, and will incorporate feedback and revisions within agreed timelines over the one-month assignment.

**6. Timeline**

The contract will be for a **one-year period**, with payment made on a per-deliverable basis upon completion and approval of agreed outputs.

**7. Qualification of the Consultant**

1. The lead consultant should possess a minimum bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or a related field.
2. Minimum of **5–7 years’ proven experience** in website design,
3. Demonstrated experience managing **end-to-end website projects** (design → development → deployment → maintenance).
4. Experience working with **NGOs, development organizations, or public sector institutions** is highly desirable.
5. Strong portfolio showcasing **responsive, user-centered, and high-performing websites completed in the last 3 years**.
6. Knowledge of **UI/UX design tools** (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch).
7. High degree of independence, flexibility, and ability to meet strict deadlines.

**8. Evaluation and awards of the consultancy**

AATF will evaluate the proposals and award the assignment based on technical and financial feasibility. AATF reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal received without giving reasons and is not bound to accept the lowest or the highest bidder.
