**Job description**
SRD Center is looking for a Disability Inclusion & CBID Specialist to provide technical leadership on disability inclusion, accessibility, rights-based approaches, and Community-Based Inclusive Development. The specialist will support the design and implementation of the baseline study and ensure that the work reflects the lived experiences, needs, priorities, and voices of persons with disabilities and their representative organizations.
**Tasks**
The specialist will:
- Provide technical guidance on disability inclusion, CBID, accessibility, and participation of persons with disabilities.
- Support the design of inclusive data collection tools, including tools for OPD capacity assessment and community self-assessment.
- Contribute to participatory community mapping and identification of barriers faced by persons with disabilities.
- Facilitate or support consultations with OPDs, community members, service providers, and local stakeholders.
- Ensure that fieldwork approaches are inclusive, safe, respectful, and accessible.
- Support the analysis of findings related to disability inclusion, service access, social participation, and community support systems.
- Contribute to the baseline report, OPD capacity assessment report, community mapping report, and recommendations.
- Provide practical recommendations to strengthen disability inclusion and CBID programming.
**Qualifications**
Candidates should have:
- University degree in social sciences, disability studies, development studies, public health, rehabilitation, education, or a related field.
- Strong experience in disability inclusion, CBID, community-based rehabilitation, inclusive development, or rights-based programming.
- Good knowledge of the disability context in Jordan.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities, OPDs, community-based organizations, or service providers.
- Experience in participatory assessments, community consultations, or qualitative research.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Fluency in Arabic is required; good English writing and communication skills are strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with international NGOs, UN agencies, or donor-funded projects is an advantage.
