Barista – Buffalo Mall (Java House)

About the roleWe are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join our Buffalo Mall outlet of Java House Africa Ltd in Nakuru. The role involves preparing a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and efficient counter.Key responsibilitiesPrepare and serve coffee, tea, artisan and specialty drinks according to standard recipes.Interact with customers at the counter, taking orders and ensuring timely delivery.Maintain the counter’s cleanliness, organize the pastry case and keep stock levels sufficient.Perform daily stock take, monitor waste, and report inventory to the senior Barista.Handle cash float, provide correct change and ensure accurate cash reconciliation at shift end.Assist the senior Barista in operating coffee machines and other equipment.Required profileAbility to make quick decisions under pressure and solve problems.Strong interpersonal skills and a reliable, responsible attitude.Team player who can work cohesively with colleagues.Willingness to undergo in‑house barista training.Required skillsBarista techniques and coffee preparation.Food hygiene standards and quality control.Kitchen management and serving etiquette.
